FACET
FACET 戀戀, the inspiration was from the shell of the Taiwanese important art sculpture "甘露水 gān lù shuǐ", and the Western painting "The Birth of Venus". I tried to put classic and timeless vibes into modern furniture design. I used the meanings of both artworks as the main concept. Combining the shell feature and the curve of the female body, makes people see the impact of shell folding rims from far, and see the elegance of the chair from a close look.
I radially extend the chair back wider, and people will naturally attach and rely on this chair. 5 folding sides provide users with a comfortable sitting experience but also show the craftsmanship's charisma and aesthetic of the wood. FACET was designed the structure cleaner, enhancing the contrast and fun between soft-look wood grain and shell folding lines, to bring up a unique style in space.
FACET is resistant and tender, just like Love戀.
