FLOAT is a public seating solution designed for art galleries, inspired by the buoys found near harbours. The upper part of the seat features a cushion made of medium-firm foam, slightly higher than regular chairs, making it easy for the elderly to sit and stand up while enhancing comfort and stability. The bottom of the seat is designed with a curved shape that allows for gentle rocking, helping to relax the muscles in the waist and legs after prolonged walking. It is upholstered with pineapple vegetarian leather, which offers waterproof and durable properties while reducing pollution associated with genuine leather production. The structure is modular, with each layer capable of being independently disassembled, making it convenient for maintenance and eliminating the need for complete replacement, thus reducing resource waste and extending the lifespan of the seating solution.
